CE Statements

Joint Accreditation – CME / CNE / CPE:

In support of improving patient care, The Carle Foundation is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Credit available for this activity:

American Medical Association (AMA)

The Carle Foundation designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)

The Carle Foundation designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.75 ANCC contact hours.

Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)

The Carle Foundation designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.75 contact hours (0.575 CEUs) for continuing pharmacy education credit.

Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB)

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, the Carle Foundation is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. The Carle Foundation maintains responsibility for this course. Social workers completing this course receive 5.75 CEs (0.575 CEUs).

American Psychological Association (APA)

The Carle Foundation Hospital is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Carle Foundation Hospital maintains responsibility for this program and its content. The Carle Foundation designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.75 continuing education hours.

Occupational Therapy

The Carle Foundation is approved as a sponsor of continuing education credit for occupational therapy workers by the Department of Professional Regulations of the State of Illinois (License #224.000180). This event has been approved for 5.75 contact hours.

Physical Therapy

Carle Foundation Hospital is an approved provider of PT continuing education through the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. PT CEU Provider (IDFPR License # 216000061). This course is approved for 5.75 CE hours for PT and PTA. 

Respiratory Therapy

Carle Foundation Hospital is approved as a sponsor of continuing education credit for respiratory care therapists by the Department of Professional Regulations of the State of Illinois (License # 195000004).  This event has been approved for 5.75 continuing education units for respiratory therapists.

Athletic Trainers

Carle Foundation Hospital (BOC AP#: P2678) is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Certified Athletic Trainers. This program is eligible for a maximum of 5.75 Category A hours/CEUs. ATs should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program.

Joint Accreditation – IPCE Credit

This activity was planned by, and for, the healthcare team, and learners will receive 5.75 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credits for learning and change.
